Our team in Tucson is ramping up for a detailed engineering design on a gold processing plant. The processing plant will produce gold dore and antimony concentrate by a process that includes; crushing, grinding, flotation, concentrate handling and filtration (antimony) as well as pressure oxidation, CIP and elutions (gold). We are currently recruiting for several Mechanical Designers at all levels to join our Minerals and Metals Business line in the Tucson office.
About the Role
- Deliver mechanical engineering design according to required timeframes and standards. Work will include, but not be limited to, the following:
- Materials handling calculations and design
- Conveyor calculations and design
- Platework calculations and design
- Pumping/piping system calculations and design
- Issue drawings and other relevant information for construction by working with other engineers and designers.
- Facilitate the purchase of mechanical equipment by creating data sheets, scopes or work, technical specifications, evaluating and conforming multiple tenderers, and assisting procurement with the purchase of equipment.
- Assist with the development and review of relevant mechanical contracts by providing advice and input as required.
- Contribute to the cost-efficient delivery of mechanical engineering, recommending alternative approaches where possible.
