As a Senior Lead Software Engineer at JPMorgan Chase within the Consumer & Community Banking - Global Bank Platform team, you are an integral part of an agile team that works to enhance, build, and deliver trusted market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way. Drive significant business impact through your capabilities and contributions, and apply deep technical expertise and problem-solving methodologies to tackle a diverse array of challenges that span multiple technologies and applications.

Job Responsibilities

  1. Plays a pivotal role in setting the roadmap and overseeing the day-to-day management of platform/environment management, setting strategies and overseeing the public cloud resources, provisioning, optimization, etc.
  2. Maintains deep understanding of the technical aspects of the platform and provides operational leadership to the engineering and product team.
  3. Implements robust processes and operations dashboard to monitor the platform performance, user feedback, and adherence to service level agreements (SLA), resiliency, and key operational metrics in real-time.
  4. Develops strong partnerships with controls, technology risk management, architecture, and compliance to understand the firm’s requirements and influence/contribute to the maturity of the firm’s capabilities.
  5. Manages and builds a high-performing team and retains strong talent on the team.
  6. Regularly provides technical guidance and direction to support the business and its technical teams, contractors, and vendors.
  7. Develops secure and high-quality production code and reviews and debugs code written by others.
  8. Drives decisions that influence the product design, application functionality, and technical operations and processes.
  9. Serves as a function-wide subject matter expert in one or more areas of focus.
  10. Actively contributes to the engineering community as an advocate of firmwide frameworks, tools, and practices of the Software Development Life Cycle.
  11. Influences peers and project decision-makers to consider the use and application of leading-edge technologies.

Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills

  1. Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experience.
  2. Hands-on public cloud technology and containers - AWS, Kubernetes.
  3. Hands-on experience working with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) - Terraform.
  4. Advanced knowledge of software applications and technical processes with considerable in-depth knowledge in one or more technical disciplines (e.g., cloud, artificial intelligence, machine learning, mobile, etc.).
  5. Ability to tackle design and functionality problems independently with little to no oversight.
  6. Practical cloud experience.
  7. Experience in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, or a related technical field.

Preferred Qualifications

  1. AWS Certifications.
