GPD is looking to continue to grow, and we are excited to hire an engineer that embodies the entrepreneurial spirit GPD is founded on. This engineer will share a passion for mentoring and developing while leading project designs with our clients. We are hiring this position in any of these office locations: Akron/Columbus/Garfield Heights, OH; Pittsburgh, PA; Indianapolis, IN; Phoenix, AZ; Atlanta, GA; Dallas/Houston, TX.
Job Qualifications:

• Mechanical Engineer with 5+ years of experience in the field of Retail/Commercial design with a focus on multi-site, retail, or restaurant projects. Experience and design growth opportunities with Educational (PK-12 and Higher Ed.), Healthcare, Federal and Industrial facilities.
• PE License preferred, but not required.
• Experienced in HVAC Design and Plumbing Design.
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering preferred, but not required.
• Proficient with Building load calculations, system design and layouts.
• Understand of Mechanical Codes, Plumbing codes, and ASHRAE design standards.
• Ability to work within a team environment working with individuals from various offices and in various disciplines.
• Skilled in AutoCAD and Revit, required.
• Must possess excellent communication skills, professional writing skills and the ability to multi-task between several projects and priorities at one time.
• Candidate should be proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Some travel required for building surveys and construction administration.
• Valid Driver's License is required.

Day-to-day job responsibilities:

• Project lead design engineer for mechanical, HVAC and plumbing system.
• Addressing construction RFI's and review of equipment submittals.
• Communication and coordination with multi-disciplinary groups.
• Opportunity to mentor and lead younger engineers / designers.
