Senior .Net developer with AWS

Our Customer is one of the world's largest investment management companies. Based in Southern California, our client manages close to $2 trillion in assets and is looking for a new partner to participate in a full scale upgrade of their technology. We are looking for talented and ambitious people to work on the first engagement in the client's offices near Los Angeles, California. We have a huge opportunity to impress them and earn a large share of their new and existing business.

Responsibilities

1. Work closely with business team, business analysts, and architects to quickly understand the new requirements and identify changes to the system.
2. Collaborate on a day-to-day basis with the development team, designers, copywriters, and other IT teams.
3. Develop and present recommendations from analysis of the current solution. Assist in design peer reviews, code peer reviews, build, and unit test functional enhancements. Identify areas for code refactoring. Review and contribute to development processes and procedures to assist in the continual improvement of the development team activities.
4. Offer solutions and designs to solve process, project, or program issues; provide recommendations to improve efficiency and effectiveness. Defend recommendations confidently.
5. Exhibit strong organization, communication, and interpersonal skills. Ability to communicate with business and technical audiences and produce design documents suitable for multiple audience types, both client-facing and internal.
6. Demonstrate technical thought leadership and excellent problem-solving ability, with an aptitude for technical innovation.
7. Have a reasonable understanding of content and social media publishing platforms with knowledge of the latest industry trends in desktop, mobile, and video platform development.
8. Effort estimation and task breakdown - estimating the cost of implementing new changes and identifying risk.

SKILLS

Must have

1. Strong ability to work independently and architect proper solutions.
2. Expertise in .NET.
3. Experience with GitHub.
4. Experience with AWS EKS and setup of relevant components (R53, EFS, S3, ECR, IAM, Lambda, etc.).
5. Docker containerization.
6. AWS RDS (Postgres, Oracle, SQL) is a plus.
7. Scripting experience is a plus (Python, Shell).
8. Experience working with Kafka is a plus.
9. Secrets management experience is a plus.
10. Experience with Infrastructure as Code implementations (Terraform scripting) is a plus.
