Job Description
We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated person to join us in testing solutions for Insurance/Reinsurance risk modeling. You will be responsible for testing the software in an AWS environment. We are looking for a strong technical candidate with significant hands-on experience and skills who can collaborate with like-minded individuals in a fast-paced goal-oriented environment.
Responsibilities
- Analyze feature requirements and design specifications to create test plans and test cases, execute and validate the test results; ensure the product meets all feature requirements.
- Review epic overviews to create detailed test strategy documents.
- Create, debug and fix automated unit, integration and end to end tests.
- Create a robust daily, smoke, acceptance and regression test repository.
- Discover, debug, document and verify software anomalies.
- Evaluate test results and track feature status using internal tools/processes.
- Escalate critical issues and status updates in a timely manner.
- Address queries from Product Owners, Scrum Team Members and the Client Servicing team with regards to our software products in a timely manner.
- Identify capacity bottlenecks, suggest & implement solutions for process improvement.
- Responsible for software risk identification, escalation & mitigation.
- Provide QA metrics as required.
- Be the scrum team point of contact from a quality assurance perspective.
- Contribute to the training of new hires.
- Work collaboratively with a global team.
Qualifications
Essential
- Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics or Data Science.
- Minimum of 5 - 8 Years’ experience working on AWS SaaS cloud based projects on an Agile software development team.
- Full-stack development experience using TDD with strong debugging and performance tuning acumen.
- Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with C#, C++, Java, Python or other object-oriented programming language.
- Strong knowledge and hands-on-experience of data management tools including but not limited to SQL/R and Python.
- Efficiency in solving challenging problems with personal accountability for meeting organization goals.
- Detail oriented with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience working with global teams.
Desirable
- Master’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics or Data Science.
- AWS Certifications.
- Knowledge of insurance/reinsurance.
- Experience working with large datasets.
