In this role, you will be responsible for providing our private owners and municipal clients with cost effective, user friendly, and attractive developments as well as developing new client relationships.Job Activities:Plan, design, and manage a variety of owner-driven civil engineering projectsOrganize and complete projects from inception to completionSupport internal and external clients on Land Development related projectsCollaborate with other Farnsworth Group disciplines and client consultantsBalance internal and external project schedules and staffingPrepare project proposalsAssist with business development effortsAssist the professional growth and development of Junior staffSpecific Requirements:BS in Civil Engineering20+ years of civil engineering experienceProfessional Engineer (PE) License required, Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) a plusStrong team player that can manage and contribute to several projects simultaneouslyStrong background in site design for both greenfield and redevelopment projectsStrong background and working knowledge of IDOT Standard Specifications and requirementsExtensive experience with municipal/development related transportation projectsPreferred Qualifications:Sanitary sewer, water line and storm water management design experience a plusAbility to effectively manage clients and participate in business development activitiesAutoCAD and Civil 3D experienceContract and negotiating skillsAbout Farnsworth GroupFarnsworth Group is an award winning, employee-owned engineering, architecture, and surveying firm with more than 500 employees located in nearly 30 offices nationwide.
