Position: Quality Assurance Engineer

Supervisor: Director of Operations



Position Summary: This position plays a critical role within our Operations team. The Quality Assurance Engineer is pivotal to the organization as quality is at the center of everything we do and is a core value of our company. This position collaborates cross-functionally with all departments and is responsible for evaluating, maintaining, and improving our quality management system to ensure we are meeting the quality, integrity, and efficiency standards in place.



Essential Duties & Key Responsibilities:


Leadership and Compliance

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive quality assurance strategy, policies, and procedures to drive continuous improvement in product and service quality.
  • Develop internal audit plan and collaborate with a team of internal auditors and process owners to ensure all work is performed to documented processes and comply to ISO based quality program.
  • Works with customers on required documentation such as compliance documents (REACH, RoHS, Conflict Materials, etc.) supplier surveys, non-disclosure agreements etc.
  • Act as a liaison with Swagelok Corporate and collaborate with QMR’s from other Swagelok Sales and Service Centers.


Monitor and Evaluate Performance

  • Oversee all quality control processes, including inspection, testing, and validation of products and custom fabrications to ensure they meet specifications and regulatory requirements.
  • Monitor and address customer feedback, complaints, and product returns, implementing corrective actions through disciplined problem solving and root cause analysis.
  • Collaborate with suppliers on approved supplier list to establish and maintain quality standards for sourced components or materials.
  • Maintain and update quality documentation, records, and reports. Monitor and report on key quality performance metrics.
  • Lead the equipment calibration program and maintain all certification program records.


Continuous Improvement & Risk Management

  • Drive a culture of continuous improvement, promoting quality awareness, and work with cross-functional teams to optimize processes, reduce defects, and enhance overall quality.
  • Identify potential risks related to product quality and documented processes and ensure adequate resources are available to maintain quality standards.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree Required
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience within Quality Assurance or Quality Management within an ISO 9001 or manufacturing environment.
  • Document Management, Lean and formal problem solving experience is desirable.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Must be detail-oriented and organized, with the ability to work independently and self-manage a variety of tasks in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong project management skills, results-focused, with solid business acumen
