Principal Test Development Engineer

Responsibilities

MaxLinear is seeking an experienced Principal Test Development Engineer to join our growing team. You will work closely with design and engineering teams in Singapore as well as MaxLinear and supplier teams across the globe.

1. Responsible for the test development of highly innovative integrated circuits from the test concept phase through the ramp-up of the test solution for high volume production.
2. Develop ATE test solutions for highly integrated RF SoC ICs for Wireless, Cable, and High-Speed Interconnect transceiver applications.
3. Lead cross-functional discussions on testability architecture, design for test, efficient test solution development, ATE test HW design.
4. Define, document, and drive best practices within the test engineering team.
5. Drive R&D experiments for new hardware and software design concepts.
6. Evaluate new software/automation tools to improve test development efficiency.
7. Provide training and technical guidance to junior test engineers in the team.
8. Interact with the test ecosystem to enable test solutions that meet our business needs.
9. Accountable for the KPIs (test coverage, test cost, product spec compliance) for test engineering.

Qualifications

1. Strong background in RF, Mixed Signal and Digital principles.
2. Expertise developing multi-site production test solutions for complex RF SoCs using Advantest 93K wave scale and port scale test systems. Experience with other test systems is a plus.
3. Experience in C, C++, Java, VB, LabView or automation scripting (PERL, PYTHON, or MATLAB).
4. Experience in developing high-performance RF ATE hardware.
5. Experience with electronic bench-test equipment - oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, pulse and signal generators, power supplies, DC source/measure.
6. Proven track record of leading test development and taking multiple RF SoCs to high volume production.
7. Bachelor/Master’s Degree in Electrical Engineering / Computer Science with at least 12 years’ experience in the field of IC Test development.
