Overview
Do you have what it takes?
VTG is seeking a motivated Systems Engineer familiar with design, implementation, and testing of Commercial Off the Shelf (COTS) systems and capable of performing all facets of engineering. The candidate must be a self-starter who thrives under limited supervision.
This position is located in Manassas, VA . This will be a hybrid position that requires to be in office 2-3 times a week.
What will you do?- Develop system requirements from source documentation and Statements of Work
- Work with customer to understand and implement system requirements
- Assist in the development/modifications of System Architectures based on changes/refresh of system components
- Provide direction to the software developer on implementation of system requirements
- Provide the design team with engineering assessments associated with the redesign of COTs hardware.
- Understand Model Based System Engineering (MBSE) and application of test requirements to overall system performance
- Develop and document Test strategies, processes and procedures.
- Provide input to program leadership in resolution of design issues during all project phases
- Conduct bench testing on hardware components at the Printed Circuit Board (PCB) level using test equipment and SIM/STIM to ensure PCB design is in accordance with the drawing/schematic
- Interface with customer to execute the sell-off of components in a laboratory environment
Do you have what it takes?
- Bachelor of Science degree in Systems Engineering or Electrical Engineering
- 2+ years of System Engineering experience
- Articulate, excellent presentation skills.
- Successful completion of background check
Desired Qualifications/Skills/Abilities:
- 2+ years of Agile development experience
- Experience in Mil-STD equipment design and test
- Understanding of PCB design and test
- Active SECRET clearance
