We currently have an opening for a Program Manager. This role is recognized as a critical function for business success. The Program Manager will coordinate administrative and analytic activities for New Product Development (NPD) following an iterative, fast-paced design process in support of department heads. This individual will apply project management experience, technical engineering education, and new product development principles to assist in leading cross-functional teams in taking products from design conception to production.
Primary Duties And Responsibilities:

  • Manage cross-departmental groups for design, development, and launch of assigned new products. This includes gathering product specifications and requirements from Product Management, commercial teams, and Engineering, ensuring projects meet business needs.
  • Generate project plans, budgets, and schedules with input from cross-functional teams. Manage a web-based repository for documentation and schedule portfolio, ensuring accuracy and tracking to plan.
  • Assist product and project departments in critical path schedule management and fast-to-market programs, including long lead time parts, validation testing, compliance certifications, and build planning.
  • Manage NPD program templates, ensuring documents serve the agile nature of product development. Gather feedback on NPD processes and documentation, escalate and execute desired changes as necessary.
  • Oversee pre-production build events related to assigned programs. This includes coordination with Engineering, R&D, Commercial, Sourcing, Purchasing, Manufacturing, and Operations, and sometimes requires pre-production part management and tracking.
  • Coordinate reporting and presentations for program progress review with the executive team and program stakeholders, ensuring accurate representation.
  • Lead cross-functional team meetings, capturing progress, risks, action items, issues, and decisions.
  • Apply equal amounts of skills and dedication to all other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
Qualifying Attributes and Skills:
  • BS degree in an engineering field preferred
  • 3-5 years of experience in either product development or project management
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • PMP or CSM certification strongly preferred
  • Strong problem solver
  • Experience in an electro-mechanical manufacturing environment preferred
  • Experience in industries operating within hazardous environments preferred
  • Self-starter with demonstrated leadership skills
  • Proficient in the use of MS Office and/or Google Suite; some familiarity with project management scheduling software preferred (MS Project, Asana, Trello, Wrike, etc.)
  • Ability to travel 30% of the time

Pay Details: $100,000.00 to $150,000.00 per year
