Automation Engineer

Job Summary:

JMH Talent Solutions is currently seeking Automation Engineers/PLC Programmers. Qualified candidates will have hands-on systems integration experience, specifically PLC and HMI programming and configuration, field work, troubleshooting, as well as start-up and commissioning experience. Experience in the food and beverage industry may benefit applicants.

Direct hire positions are currently available in Phoenix. Positions are on-site at customer location for project and start-up work.

Key Responsibilities:

• Understand and troubleshoot programmable logic controllers (PLC), human machine interfaces (HMI), batching systems, and other supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) software
• Provide field troubleshooting, start-up and commissioning support
• Perform complex problem-solving tasks that involve reviewing information, actively detecting problems, developing, and evaluating options, selecting, and implementing the best solutions
• Manage workloads and meet project benchmarks—communicating progress both internally and externally.

Job Requirements:

• PLC Programming Proficiency; Preferable Allen-Bradley (ControlLogix & Compactlogix) RS-Logix

5000, (SLC 500) RS-Logix 500

• Industrial Communications
• HMI Proficiency – Factory TalkView SE & Wonderware Preferred
• Liquid Process Experience Preferred
• VFD Experience (Variable Frequency Drives)
• AS/BS Degree in Engineering Preferred or Documented Experience
