What we are looking for:
We are seeking an innovative Packaging Design Engineer to develop and initiate packaging designs in alignment with client needs and specifications. Are you prepared to bring your A-game to help us save the world, one package at a time?
What you will do:

• Develop a high level of knowledge and expertise in protective packaging industry
• Translate creative design concept or ideas into physical 3D models on Solidworks
• Use 3D modeling tools like surfacing to construct complex geometries
• Develop packaging designs in line with client needs
• Create design concepts and execute physical samples utilizing Solidworks, ArtiosCAD, 3D printing, CNC machining, Thermoforming, and in-house cutting tables
• Create and maintain packaging documents including, but not limited to specifications, drawings and cost sheets
• Test quality and durability of new and existing packaging concepts through various testing procedures such as drop testing and data loggers
• Validate and check finished parts against drawings, using precise measuring tools (micrometer, calipers, etc.)
• Work with project management and sales team to prioritize projects and workload
• Possess unparalleled creativity and the ability to think "outside of the box"
• Support and comply with all company policies and safety requirements
• Continuous organization and upkeep of design lab
• Performs other duties as assigned

What you need to succeed:

• Bachelor's degree in Packaging Engineering or Mechanical Engineering
• 1-3 years in the packaging design industry
• Proficient in developing and presenting PowerPoint presentations
• Proficient in analyzing data in excel
• Proficient in CAD related software such as Solidworks and ArtiosCAD
• Ability to work independently as well as on a team
• Ability to manage multiple projects at any given time
