Title: Senior Java Engineer
We have an immediate opportunity for a Full Stack Java Engineer to join our Boulder, Colorado team. If you love fun, technically challenging work and want to take our software to the next level then we would love to hear from you.
What you'll do
You will play an integral role in developing our next generation IOT cloud platform. You will be responsible for designing and implementing new features as well as maintaining existing functionality.
Specific responsibilities include:
- Design, implement, and document software components for our cloud based application.
- Work with other departments to understand requirements and contribute to release planning.
- Research new technologies and prototype new ideas.
- Ensure high testability and quality of the delivered software.
- Work with QA and Operations teams to troubleshoot and fix defects.
About You
You love to problem solve and build things. You enjoy working on a small team, know how to efficiently manage your time, and have a strong history of delivering applications across the full spectrum of web development.
Specific requirements include:
- 5+ years of experience with a high level OO language (Java is preferred).
- Experience designing and implementing solutions that scale in a cloud environment.
- Strong knowledge of multi-threading, NIO, and socket programming.
- Experience with RESTful web frameworks.
- Solid frontend skills along with experience using JavaScript MV* frameworks.
- Experience with logic-less templating frameworks like Handlebars.js.
