Job Description:
Client is looking for a senior network engineer who is available immediately to assist with a major data center implementation. They are building two new data centers using Cisco Nexus switching. Work must be done on site at our Houston headquarters (Galleria area) and at our data center location (Greenspoint area). We are looking for the following qualifications:
- Experience in designing and configuring data center interconnects using Overlay Transport Virtualization (OTV)
- Minimum of 7 years experience with Enterprise networking using Cisco equipment.
- CCIE (preferred) or CCNP certification, or equivalent experience
- Experience with design and planning data center implementation and migration
- Hands-on experience with configuring Cisco data center switches using NX-OS (Nexus 9K / 7K / 5K / 2K).
- Experience with the following switching technologies: VPC, VLAN, Rapid PVST+, FEX
- Experience with the following routing technologies: BGP, OSPF, VRF lite, DMVPN
- Ability to work cooperatively with a team of junior and senior level network engineers and architects
- Ability to produce detailed documentation for network design and implementation
