Job Summary
The Java Full Stack Engineer will work within the FIT Middleware Engineering and Governance (MEG) group, developing and enhancing cloud-hosted applications with a focus on defining new capabilities, improvements, maintenance, and support. The role requires collaboration with business partners and end-users to deliver high-quality solutions. The engineer will be responsible for ensuring the development team has a backlog of groomed tasks and will work to build scalable and maintainable solutions.
Key Responsibilities
• Develop and enhance applications using Java, Spring framework, Spring Boot, and RESTful services.
• Build and improve Angular-based UI components using TypeScript and HTML.
• Manage and optimize CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, GitHub, and Insomnia.
• Provide production support for existing applications, ensuring reliability and performance.
• Collaborate with business partners and stakeholders to gather requirements and develop solutions.
• Write clean, maintainable, and scalable code while adhering to best practices.
• Participate in backlog grooming, sprint planning, and retrospectives in an Agile environment.
• Develop user acceptance tests and ensure comprehensive use case coverage.
• Work with Docker, Kubernetes, and AWS services like IAM, S3, and Lambda to build scalable infrastructure.
• Analyze data and SQL for application functionality and performance improvements.
Required Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of experience working in technology or a related field.
• Proven experience in Java, Spring framework, Spring Boot, and RESTful services.
• Experience with Angular UI, TypeScript, and HTML.
• Experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitHub, and Insomnia.
• Experience in providing production support.
• Knowledge in SQL and data analysis.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to present to stakeholders and perform internal demos.
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
• AWS experience, including services like IAM, S3, and Lambda.
• Basic knowledge or prior experience in the financial services domain.
