We are seeking a highly skilled Director of Software Development to lead our client’s application strategy and architecture. The company is a dynamic leader in the gaming and hospitality industry renowned for exceptional guest experiences. In this role, you’ll have the chance to shape the architecture of real-time systems, collaborate with executives, and mentor a talented team—all while making a direct impact on the company’s success.
Location: Las Vegas, NV – Onsite with flexibility
Compensation: This direct hire role is expected to pay about $185-195k annually as part of a strong comp and benefits package.
What You Will Do:
- Act as the lead technical expert, providing architectural guidance and driving development best practices across teams.
- Collaborate with senior leadership to ensure the technical strategy aligns with business objectives.
- Oversee the technical direction for all development initiatives, ensuring cohesive development practices.
- Lead and mentor less experienced developers, providing guidance on best practices, architectural decisions, and fostering their professional growth within the team.
- Lead a technical center of excellence, offering consultation and making strategic technical recommendations.
- Document and communicate the company’s technical architecture across teams and stakeholders.
- Build and drive enterprise performance management models that align with business goals.
What Gets You The Job:
- Strong backend expertise in Node.js, with React on the frontend, along with experience in JSON, MongoDB, SQL, and RabbitMQ.
- Hands-on experience with microservices architecture and containerized environments.
- Familiarity with cloud environments, particularly Azure and private cloud infrastructures.
- Experience mentoring junior developers and providing architectural guidance without direct management responsibility.
- Exceptional collaboration and communication skills, particularly with senior leadership and technical teams.
- Background in building real-time systems and leveraging data analysis and analytics in high-volume environments.
