The Manager of Process Engineering & Facilities plans and directs the engineering activities within the Process Engineering group in their efforts to improve quality, increase speed and reduce cost of IDT processes and operations as well as oversees operations to ensure that all necessary tasks are performed in a timely manner within the Facilities and Lab Management groups at the Boulder location.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

  1. Supervise and direct the Process Engineering, Facilities, and Lab Management staff which would include employee hiring, training, evaluations and discipline.
  2. Manage, mentor, coach direct reports on the process engineering, facilities and lab management team.
  3. Ensure all process engineering, facilities and lab management projects, initiatives and processes are in conformance with IDT’s established policies and objectives.
  4. Monitor business and operations processes and identify problems and opportunities for continuous improvement. Lead and participate in cross-functional problem-solving projects.
  5. Manage the implementation of IDT’s preventive maintenance programs as they relate to manufacturing, R&D, and building operations. This includes all HVAC, electrical, water systems, BAS and grounds.
  6. Manage service vendors (Property Management, lab equipment, electrical, janitorial, trash disposal, etc.) to provide appropriate levels of service.
  7. Plan and execute facilities projects to support facility and team growth.

The essential requirements of the job include:

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Science, Computers or Engineering related field required; Engineering degree preferred.
  2. Previous experience leading teams, either as a manager or a project team leader required.
  3. Minimum of five years of work experience in a high tech, biotech, pharma, or diagnostics company required.
  4. Lean, Six Sigma, DMAIC or similar problem-solving methodology experience required.

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

  1. qPCR, NGS and other biological method experience preferred.

The annual salary range for this role is $90,000 – $135,933. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future.


This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay. We offer a comprehensive package of benefits including paid time off, medical/dental/vision insurance and 401(k) to eligible employees.
