We are looking for people that bring excitement and energy to our organization, are curious and eager to learn, and want to help drive our programs forward.

As a DevOps Pipeline Engineer , you will play a critical role in the implementation and testing of our advanced algorithms supporting spacecraft autonomy and space object detection, tracking, and classification from optical payloads. This position is dependent on a contract award.

Responsibilities:

  1. Develop cloud architecture and testing framework testing
  2. Develop CI/CD pipelines to automate the build, test, and deployment processes for C++ projects, ensuring consistency and reliability across environments
  3. Define Software Configuration Management procedures and identify tools.
  4. Configure and manage build servers, build agents, and artifact repositories to support the build and deployment process
  5. Implement security best practices in CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure configuration to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations, including DoD-178
  6. Document build processes, configurations, and automation workflows, and provide training and support to development teams as needed

Required Qualifications:

  1. Must be eligible to hold a clearance.
  2. Proficiency in C++, with experience developing and building C++ applications using CMake
  3. Fundamental understanding of Python programming and scripting
  4. Experience designing and implementing CI/CD pipelines for C++ projects using tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, or Azure Pipelines
  5. Knowledge of version control systems (Git, SVN) and best practices for branching, merging, and code reviews
  6. Familiarity with containerization technologies (Docker) and container orchestration platforms (Kubernetes)
  7. Excellent problem-solving skills, analytical thinking, and attention to detail
  8. Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. Certification in AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
  2. Familiarity with DoD-178 standards for software development in safety-critical systems
  3. Experience with continuous testing, integration, and deployment of embedded or real-time systems

Don't fulfill all the qualifications listed above? If you still feel like you might be a good fit, please feel free to APPLY ANYWAY. We believe in a well-rounded team, and this sometimes means that someone with out-of-context knowledge can contribute just as well as someone with very explicit alignment with our capabilities needs stated.

Our positions are based in the Reston, Virginia area, with much of our team operating in a hybrid or remote fashion. Our preference is for candidates in or around this area (or willing to relocate) as we scale our facilities and engineering team and provide more opportunities to work and collaborate in-person. Remote employees will be required to travel for onsite work and in-person meetings.
