Introduction

Visium Resources has been asked to identify qualified candidates for this Civil Engineer position. This position is a contract opportunity which is expected to be on-site in Anaheim, CA for a duration of 2 Years.


The pay rate is $50 - 60 an hour.


The Civil Engineer will provide engineering and technical direction to engineering consultants to support the preparation of civil studies, reports, plans, specifications, and construction drawings

  • Review hydrologic and hydraulic engineering studies as Owner's Representative and provide recommendations for future projects
  • Develop equipment and construction specifications
  • Provide oversight for utility system capital planning addressing system capacity, end-of-life equipment replacement, and installation of utility infrastructure systems
  • Review contract documents and calculations for lift stations, treatment systems, and pipelines
  • Possess strong analytical skills with the ability to resolve complex technical issues
  • Provide mentorship to junior engineers and oversee their projects from a technical perspective.


Required:

  • 7+ years of experience in municipal, consulting, or related civil engineering field
  • Current registration as a Professional Engineer in the State of California
  • Background in heavy civil (grading, land development)
  • Experience with design and construction of underground utility systems (pipeline installation)
  • Experience with construction administration
  • Experience with civil grading design
  • Working knowledge of standards and codes applicable to civil utility systems
  • Operational experience or background in standards development or plan review
  • Preferred:

    • Experience with data management and editing in Esri ArcGIS


    Education:

    • B.S. Civil Engineering
