Position Description:
LCG is seeking Cloud Solutions Architect/Developer (SME) who is highly experienced professional responsible for leading the design, development, and management of scalable and secure cloud systems that align with the client's business objectives. With 10+ years of experience in cloud architecture and development, this SME will drive innovation, leveraging Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS) and Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) solutions. This role is critical for ensuring performance optimization, security, and compliance across cloud environments, while pushing forward initiatives related to digital transformation. Duties and Responsibilities:
Cloud Architecture Design and Strategy

Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
10+ years of experience in cloud architecture and development, with a strong track record in designing and implementing cloud solutions on platforms like AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud.
Certifications in cloud platforms (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Azure Solutions Architect Expert) - preferred.
Expertise in developing IaaS and PaaS solutions, as well as cloud security, governance, and compliance best practices.
Extensive experience with cloud automation tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible) and DevOps principles.
Proven ability to optimize cloud performance and cost efficiency while ensuring security and compliance.
In-depth knowledge of Agile methodologies, DevOps tools, containerization (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes), and microservices architecture.
Experience applying AI, Machine Learning, and data exploitation on cloud platforms.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively utilize cloud management tools, including Microsoft 365 Copilot, to enhance productivity in day-to-day tasks such as drafting architectural documentation, generating performance reports, and preparing cloud infrastructure presentations.
- Skilled in guiding team members to leverage Microsoft 365 Copilot and other cloud tools to improve collaboration, streamline cloud architecture workflows, and optimize infrastructure management processes.
Compensation and Benefits
The projected compensation range for this position is $146,475 to $181,950 per year benchmarked in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area. The target salary for the role is $165,000. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. Salary at LCG is determined by various factors, including but not limited to role, location, the combination of education/training, knowledge, skills, competencies, certifications, and work experience.
