About the Role:
The company seeks an experienced Senior Executive with a deep research background in generative AI, particularly in the context of healthcare systems, EHR integration, and clinical workflow optimization. This individual will play a key role in scaling the company’s technology and business, while driving innovation at the intersection of AI and healthcare. With a focus on applying AI to improve clinical efficiency, the ideal candidate will bring startup experience and a passion for transforming healthcare operations.
Responsibilities:
- Strategic Leadership: Define and drive the company’s vision to leverage generative AI for EHR systems and clinical workflows, ensuring innovative solutions that enhance clinical decision-making and streamline healthcare processes.
- Research & Innovation: Lead the company’s AI research efforts, with a focus on developing and deploying generative AI models tailored to optimizing clinical workflows, reducing administrative burdens, and improving healthcare delivery.
- Team Growth & Development: Build, mentor, and scale a high-performance AI and engineering team, focusing on developing technologies that improve the integration and functionality of EHR systems in clinical environments.
- Startup Growth & Scalability: Apply startup experience to navigate the challenges of rapid growth, scaling both the technical infrastructure and business operations while maintaining a culture of agility and innovation.
- Partnership & Business Development: Forge strategic partnerships with healthcare providers, EHR vendors, and clinical institutions to expand the company’s solutions and drive adoption of AI-powered clinical workflow tools.
- Fundraising & Investor Relations: Work closely with the founding team to secure funding and build relationships with investors, articulating the value of generative AI in transforming EHR systems and clinical operations.
- Compliance & Ethics: Ensure that all AI technologies and clinical workflow solutions are compliant with healthcare regulations (FDA, HIPAA) and adhere to the highest ethical standards in AI deployment.
Skills:
- Research Expertise: 10+ years of experience in AI/ML, particularly in generative AI or deep learning, with a focus on healthcare applications. Proven experience applying AI to optimize EHR systems, clinical workflows, or healthcare operations is highly desirable.
- Technical Leadership: Strong background in leading AI research teams, with demonstrated success in developing scalable AI models for healthcare. Experience with EHR integration and clinical workflow enhancement is a significant advantage.
- Startup Experience: Significant experience working in early-stage or high-growth startups, with a proven track record of scaling teams and technology in a fast-paced environment.
- Healthcare Expertise: Familiarity with clinical workflows, EHR systems, and the healthcare landscape, with a clear understanding of how generative AI can enhance clinical efficiency and patient outcomes.
- Business Acumen: Experience in business strategy, partnership development, and fundraising, particularly within the healthcare or HealthTech sectors. Ability to bridge research and commercial success in a healthcare context is essential.
- Compliance Knowledge: Deep understanding of healthcare regulations (FDA, HIPAA) and experience ensuring that AI technologies comply with these standards.
Pay range and compensation package:
Base salary is 300,000 with additional compensation options including equity, bonus, and comprehensive benefits. Package includes full healthcare coverage, wellness benefits, retirement plans, and more.
