About The Role
Goop seeks a talented and innovative DevOps Engineer to join our Infrastructure team. As a DevOps Engineer, you would work with the larger engineering team to ensure safe & repeatable deployments along with ensuring our infrastructure stays safe and secure. Our ideal candidate will be a collaborator, stays up to date on emerging technologies and processes, and looks to identify areas for improvement.
Responsibilities include:
- Building and maintaining the pipelines that deploy client applications and services.
- Monitor and maintain the infrastructure and software that powers goop.com.
- Perform root cause analysis on production issues as they arise.
- Provide and maintain system documentation.
- Work with several software engineering teams to ensure that development follows established processes and works as intended.
- Ensuring that systems are safe and secure against cybersecurity threats.
- Providing recommendations for architecture and process improvements.
Qualifications & Experience
- 3-4 years’ experience in a DevOps role.
- Experience with Amazon Web Services, particularly EKS, CloudFormation, RDS, and Lambda.
- Strong knowledge of Kubernetes and associated tools/services such as helm, Istio, and kubectl.
- Experience with Hashicorp Terraform.
- Experience building CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience participating in incident response and resolution.
- Strong knowledge of log and metrics tools such as Prometheus, Loki, Grafana, and Cloudwatch.
- AWS Disaster Recovery across regions a plus.
FAQ
- Compensation : $100,000 - $120,000 + Equity. This is a full-time, exempt role. Please note that this range represents the low and high end of the anticipated base salary range for the Los Angeles, CA-based position. Goop, in good faith, reasonably expects to pay the position within this salary range. Goop provides the salary range in compliance with all applicable federal, state and local laws. The actual base salary will depend on numerous factors such as: experience, training, knowledge and skills, and if the location of the job changes.
