Job Title: Lead Engineer – SP & C NECEC
Reports to: Manager – NECEC ST, TL, HVDC TL
Location: Augusta, Maine

The salary range for this position is dependent on experience level ranging from $101,000 to $126,755.

Job Summary:

Responsible for SP&C Substation designs for NECEC portfolio in Maine, including input into standards and training needs. Will be in charge of Owners Engineering design reviews for the SP&C Scope related to the NECEC Project, defining P&C criteria, equipment standards, settings, and supporting all commissioning activities for the NECEC project.

This position reports to the Manager – NECEC ST, TL, HVDC TL, but will work day-to-day in a cross-functional project team and support project needs as dictated by the project manager.

Major Roles and Responsibilities:

  • NECEC engineering performance including all phases such as scoping, budgeting, conceptual engineering, contract management, design, construction, and closeout.
  • Perform standard and complex electrical engineering analyses, designs, and calculations using standard methodology and principles. Develop alternate methods or design concepts to resolve problems or improve processes/services.
  • Lead and create new conceptual designs and oversee the work of external detailed designers.
  • Solve unique and complex electrical engineering problems, analyzing possible solutions and assessing each using standard procedures related to lines and power engineering.
  • Ensure all engineering designs implemented meet applicable company, local, state, and national codes and standards.

Required Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering required.
  • Master’s Degree Preferred.
  • 8 years minimum relevant experience.
  • Professional Engineering License Preferred.
