Minimum Qualifications:
  • Proof of eligibility to work in the United States.
  • A Bachelor's degree in MIS or a related technical field, or equivalent experience.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain Nevada Gaming Control Board Registration and any necessary certifications.
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in designing, implementing, and supporting infrastructure systems and related technologies.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft server operating systems, Active Directory, Linux platforms, and VMware.
  • Experience in designing high-availability solutions like clustering and data replication.
  • Familiarity with highly regulated environments (MICS, PCI, SOX).
  • Training and experience with ITSM practices.
  • A strong technical aptitude, attention to detail, and a self-motivated approach to system design and support.
  • Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize tasks.
  • Great written and verbal communication skills.
  • Collaborative spirit, able to mentor and support other technical staff.
  • On-call availability on a rotational basis.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing environments while under pressure.
  • Strong customer service focus and reliability.
Your Responsibilities Will Include:
  • Managing a queue of work requests to meet service levels and KPI objectives.
  • Designing and deploying new platforms while enhancing our existing infrastructure, software, and operating systems.
  • Reviewing technical requirements, establishing project milestones, and estimating effort levels for project completion.
  • Deploying and maintaining Unix and Microsoft Servers, Storage Arrays, VMWare infrastructure, and related technologies.
  • Troubleshooting and repairing complex issues across Servers, Active Directory, VMWare, application services, and end-user support within an enterprise environment.
  • Conducting research on system platforms and architecture designs to stay updated with developments in enterprise computing.
  • Establishing and implementing policies to ensure the security and integrity of our computing environment.
  • Performing server and security audits, system backups, and other recovery processes as part of our disaster recovery strategies.
  • Creating and maintaining documentation related to system configuration, processes, and service records.
  • Ensuring interoperability and compliance of enterprise computing systems.
  • Implementing solutions and testing their performance while preparing reports on system performance.
  • Responding to emergency outages in line with our disaster recovery plans and collaborating with other departments as needed.
  • Providing insights to senior IT management regarding product selection, technology evolution, and design strategies.
  • Collaborating effectively with business partners, architects, and technical peers to ensure seamless integration of systems.
  • Following Incident, Problem, and Change management processes.
  • Conducting root cause analysis and developing corrective action plans for complex technical issues.
  • Developing and testing disaster recovery plans and high-availability strategies on a regular basis.
  • Interacting with vendors and contractors to ensure secure and reliable system implementations.
