Job Description:
Our federal client is looking to hire a Systems Engineer on a long-term contract basis. This position is based out of Merrifield, VA 22082 and will allow for 3 days a week remote work after the initial orientation period. This role will pay an hourly rate of $57/HR (1099, dependent on experience). We also offer the option of working on a W2 basis at an hourly rate of $52/HR or $110K with PTO and benefits. Requirements:
Systems Engineer for long term machine configuration, commissioning, documentation and installation verification and support work for new or relocated postal sorting equipment.
Experience with industrial control bus topologies, PLC programing and HMI creation are beneficial.
Good HW, SW and configuration troubleshooting skills are needed for the deployment and verification work.
**This job requires flexibility to travel multiple times a year for the duration of a new machine installation, machine relocation and reconfigurations or meeting with vendors or others.
