About The Team
Workday is a leading Enterprise Cloud Applications provider developing and deploying a wide range of business applications. The Intelligent Orchestration org is responsible for some of Workday’s core service orchestration technologies, deployed in Workday’s data center and public cloud environments. We provide orchestration solutions for other Workday development and operations teams, allowing us to reach the next level of scale. The OMS Platform Intelligence team is responsible for scaling OMS resources, which are core to the Workday stack.
About The Role
Manage a team of hardworking, dynamic and passionate software engineers, working with architects, product managers and partner teams to deliver robust software solutions.
- Passion for software development and building a strong engineering team
- Run and plan releases by understanding the details, including effort, risk, priority and dependencies
- Be a strong advocate for development processes, engineering standard methodologies, quality and culture of continuous improvement
- Motivate the team with clear goals and direction to produce quality solutions on time
- Collaborate with product management and technical architects to improve not just the product, but efficiencies in engineering processes
- Build positive relationships with application and technology teams to drive collaboration toward effective solutions
- Nurture the career development of the team by guiding the team’s experience and growth
About You
Experienced leader with a consistent record of delivering enterprise-class, critically important products. You have high change agility and adaptability, embracing opportunities as they arise. Experienced in enterprise scale production rollout and support.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or equivalent experience
- Strong technical knowledge in software development and distributed systems
- 5+ years leading a technical team and/or experience with managing software engineering teams
- 5+ years of experience in software design and development
- 5+ years of software development experience
Other Qualifications:
- Proven ability to balance multiple priorities and communicate across organizational boundaries
- Track record of delivering complex projects to completion, involving multiple stakeholders
- Ability to build strong relationships with diverse teams within an organization
- Strong leadership, communication and organizational skills
- Experience improving development and delivery processes for engineering teams
- Demonstrated ability to build a strong diverse team of engineers and inspire them to do their best work
Workday Pay Transparency Statement
The annualized base salary ranges for the primary location and any additional locations are listed below. Workday pay ranges vary based on work location. As a part of the total compensation package, this role may be eligible for the Workday Bonus Plan or a role-specific commission/bonus, as well as annual refresh stock grants. Each candidate’s compensation offer will be based on multiple factors including, but not limited to, geography, experience, skills, job duties, and business need.
