Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for an Analytical Chemist specializing in gas chromatography at CONSCI in Pasadena, TX. The Analytical Chemist will be responsible for conducting various laboratory analyses, implementing quality control measures, utilizing analytical skills for testing and analysis, operating and maintaining laboratory equipment, and assisting in research and development projects. We are looking for early career chemists who can be trained to independently operate and troubleshoot laboratory instruments, develop and validate analytical methods, and author protocols and technical reports.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Physical Sciences/related field, or equivalent experience with gas chromatography, in particular
• Laboratory Skills, Analytical Skills, and Quality Control experience
• Proficiency in operating and maintaining lab equipment including GC, GC/MS, FTIR, and ICP-MS for gas phase analysis
• Experience analyzing natural gas and other gas streams
• Experience in Research and Development (R&D) projects
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
• Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking abilities

Physical Demands

• Ability to lift up to 30 lbs/14 kg on a regular basis and carry for short distances;
• Manual dexterity to perform intricate and/or repetitive tasks;
• Wear issued personal protective equipment (PPE) such as dust masks, gloves etc., when required.

Salary Range

$45,000 - $70,000/year depending on experience
