Job Description
Client Computing is responsible for architecting, designing, engineering, and supporting a variety of end user computing devices (including mobile devices) to provide a best in class user experience to improve the productivity of all ExxonMobil associates allowing them to focus on their jobs, not the device, in order to quickly access corporate resources. This includes:
- Focusing on end user device performance, reliability, and usability
- Managing the lifecycle of devices and operating systems
- Management of endpoint devices (workstations, laptops, mobile, wearables)
- Engineering and technical support for security software
- Offering virtual desktop (remote desktop) and application options
- Providing Multi-Function Devices, Follow-Me print, and Secure print options
- Engineering secure access to web enabled applications via browser technologies
- Presenting a consistent experience to users across devices
- Securing devices and platforms (including management of physical & virtual smartcards)
Going to location, uploading PLC programs and code, referencing PLC code to draft cause & effect documentation. Accessing data driven from SCADA. Heavy focus on Analytical and desk work to process code and creating documentation. Travel to sites within the Midland area to get data and draft documentation based on site visits.
