We are hiring for an Associate Civil Engineer to join our team on a full-time, direct basis in the Milton, DE area. This person will have the opportunity to work on a variety of public & private site development projects while contributing to all aspects of our projects: conceptual planning, preliminary design, detailed development, construction documentation, permitting documentation, and engineering reports).

We are hiring for an Associate Civil Engineer to join our team on a full-time, direct basis in the Milton, DE area. This person will have the opportunity to work on a variety of public & private site development projects while contributing to all aspects of our projects: conceptual planning, preliminary design, detailed development, construction documentation, permitting documentation, and engineering reports).
Primary Responsibilities:
- Prepare site plan development drawings; this involves taking land survey data to develop a site plan package that is compliant with municipal regulations.
- Design and detail of site layout, removals, grading, utilities, etc.
- Design and detail for stormwater management (SWM): hydrologic & hydraulic (H&H) modeling, erosion control, sediment control (E&SC), relevant design calculations, etc.
- Assist with mentoring junior-level staff.
- Additional tasks may be assigned, as needed.
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (or a related discipline).
- 2+ years of professional experience working in Engineering, preferably with Land and/or Site Design projects.
- FE / EIT.
- Experience working on greenfield and/or brownfield land development projects.
- Experience working with stormwater management, especially while utilizing Hydrology and Hydraulics (H&H) modeling tools; experience using HydroCAD is a plus!
- Proficiency with engineering tools (e.g.: CADD, etc.); exposure to AutoCAD Civil 3D is a plus!
- Proven ability to prepare a site plan package for submission to local jurisdiction(s) is a plus!
- Proficiency on basic office software applications, especially Microsoft Office 365.
- Proven ability to work collaboratively in a team environment with minimal supervision while displaying a positive attitude.
- Excellent organizational skills, especially with a proven ability to work in an energetic and challenging work environment on a variety of projects; this person will be expected to demonstrate a self-motivated demeanor while effectively multi-tasking and prioritizing multiple assignments.
- Excellent communication skills (verbal & written).
