Our client, a premier CNC machining, Fabrication and Assembly company, is seeking a CNC Setup/ Operator to join their team. The ideal candidate will have a team player mindset, adaptability and innovation which will align successfully in the organization.
Job Title: CNC Setup/ Operator
Location: Goodland, IN
Pay Range: $40,000- $60,000/ year
What’s the Job?
Fabricate a wide variety of metal and plastic components through the set-up and operation of CNC machines, saws, drill presses, and similar equipment.
Use and understand precision measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers and gages.
Operate hand tools such as drills, in the fabrication of parts.
Control the operation of the machine by monitoring dials and gauges.
Listen to the machine for sounds that indicate problems. When problems do arise, an operator troubleshoots to diagnose the problem and determine proper corrective actions.
What’s Needed?
Practical experience in setup operations rather than just repetitive tasks.
Knowledge of 5-axis milling and ability to troubleshoot setups for unique parts.
Familiarity with G-code and M-code .
Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting capabilities, especially for first-time part setups.
