EMIT Technologies, Inc. is seeking a highly motivated Manufacturing Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for improving manufacturing processes, ensuring product quality, and enhancing operational efficiency. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to develop and implement solutions that drive productivity and innovation in our manufacturing operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze existing manufacturing processes and identify opportunities for improvement. Implement lean manufacturing principles to enhance efficiency and reduce waste.
- Collaborate with product design teams to ensure manufacturability of new products. Provide input on design for manufacturing (DFM) and design for assembly (DFA) considerations.
- Develop and implement quality control plans to ensure product integrity. Conduct root cause analysis for product defects and implement corrective actions.
- Oversee the selection, installation, and maintenance of manufacturing equipment. Work with maintenance teams to minimize downtime and optimize equipment performance.
- Lead and participate in engineering projects from conception through implementation. Track project timelines and deliverables to ensure successful completion.
- Maintain accurate documentation of processes, procedures, and engineering changes. Prepare reports on manufacturing performance metrics and present findings to management.
- Provide training and support to production staff on new processes and equipment. Foster a culture of continuous improvement and knowledge sharing within the team.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in a manufacturing environment, with a focus on process improvement and quality assurance.
- Experience with CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks) and manufacturing process simulation tools. Familiarity with ERP systems is a plus.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Experience with root cause analysis methodologies.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Hands on experience, Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
