What You Will Contribute:
Engineer II provides product support/sustaining engineering with minimal oversight. This includes but is not limited to performing product and design verification tests, assisting with defining test plans and production implementations, and participating in project teams.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES:
- Provides product support/sustaining engineering with minimal oversight
- Perform product and design verification tests
- Assists in defining test plans/production implementations
- Writes procedures
- Initiates and implements engineering change requests
- Designs component/portion of a project
- May be accountable to a Project Manager or Senior Engineer
- Acts as a mentor to Engineer I
- Participates actively on project teams (may be a project lead)
- May validate/audit/review procedures
- Develops or provides input into projects: schedules, budgets, risks
- Provide regular status updates to SQA Lead
- Develop and execute test cases/test scripts from requirements, use-cases, design documents, and other project documentation. Lead the definition of needed automated testing for complex features and products
- Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of product functionality to evaluate and ensure product operations during test cycles
- Work with defect tracking systems for bug resolutions
- Monitor and improve the performance of the test automation systems
- Implement automation of moderate to difficult test cases
- Define and direct the setup of test networks and other computer systems
- Travel to customer sites for product testing and investigation as needed
- 3+ years of related experience
- Bachelor’s degree from a four-year institution
- Define the actual problem, test multiple scenarios, troubleshoot product issues, implement appropriate solutions and communicate the results
- Solid product knowledge
- Ability to operate on a manufacturing floor as applicable
- Ability to quickly learn
- Ability to work effectively in a multi-discipline team
- Demonstrates strong initiative and motivation
- Demonstrates ability to effectively solve problems
- Demonstrates appropriate judgment/decision making for their level of authority
