AUTOMATION/TECHNOLOGY ENGINEER

This position will manage Bizerba labelling/data maintenance and all computer/network equipment including servers, switches, cabling, printers, and desktop systems at assigned locations.

Responsibilities:

1. Support and manage all computer/network components including servers, switches, cabling and desktop systems at assigned locations.
2. Program Cisco Switches for Local Area Network.
3. Document Local Area Network at assigned location(s).
4. Document and maintain “Standard Operating Procedures” for site-specific technologies in use at the facility.
5. Fundamental understanding of VLANS.
6. Work with end users and propose new hardware and software solutions to support the business.
7. Test all hardware and software modifications before they are introduced into production.
8. Provide hardware and software diagnostics for network, hardware and software issues, especially Bizerba tray labelers as well as tote scale labelers.
9. Manage technology projects in compliance with IT standards.
10. Provide hardware and network support for “Production Floor” computer systems.
11. Support all printer functions at assigned locations.
12. Provide troubleshooting and hardware maintenance support with Bizerba machines on the floor.
13. Perform related tasks as required.

Skills/Experience:

1. Three years hands-on related experience with any price labelling equipment in the food industry.
2. Working/troubleshooting knowledge of Bizerba labelling equipment, Windows 2008/2012 Server, Windows 7, Windows 8, Windows 10, Office 2010 & 2013.
3. Understanding and functional knowledge of Citrix desktop/client.
4. Must have knowledge of Cisco Switch configurations and troubleshooting.
5. Must have knowledge of Network cabling and connectivity.
6. MCSE Certification is a plus; not required.
7. A+ Certification is a plus; not required.
8. Must have excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
9. Must have strong customer support abilities.
10. Must be willing to work in a plant/cold environment.

Hourly Pay: $32.75 - $35.75 Pay scale is based on test qualification.
