What You Will Do
As an experienced data engineer, you will be joining a collaborative IT development team as we bring together Guidehouse's data to address our internal clients’ business needs. You will apply your knowledge to build and support enterprise solutions spanning ETL/ELT, process automation, data modeling, and BI reporting with Microsoft's data and BI technology stacks.

  • Develop, test, and maintain scalable ETL pipelines to ingest data from multiple disparate data sources.
  • Participate in development and maintenance of the corporate data warehouse.
  • Perform complex data queries and data analysis.
  • Understand internal needs and translate them to technical requirements.

What You Will Need

  • B.S./B.A. in Computer Science, Information Systems, or similar computational discipline.
  • 3+ years of relevant professional experience as a data engineer using Microsoft/Azure technologies.
  • Experience developing complex ETLs with Azure Data Factory and SSIS against structured, semi-structured, and unstructured data sets.
  • Experience developing SQL relational databases and optimizing complex queries.
  • Experience developing semantic data models, data cleansing, and segmentation techniques.
  • Understanding of relational databases, columnar data warehouses, data lakes, and other storage types.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaborate within a team environment.

What Would Be Nice To Have

  • Experience using Power BI.
  • Experience using Azure Analysis Services.
  • Experience using Azure Synapse Analytics.
  • Experience using Spark or Databricks.
  • Experience with source code version control technologies such as Git and Azure DevOps.
  • Well versed with data structures and algorithms.
  • Understanding of the software development lifecycle.
  • Experience interacting with end-users to understand and document business and functional requirements.

The annual salary range for this position is $73,400.00-$110,000.00. Compensation decisions depend on a wide range of factors, including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, security clearances, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs.
