MID-LEVEL INTERIOR DESIGNER

 

Vivo Architecture, Inc., (VIVO) a widely recognized architectural and interior design firm, has an immediate opening for a talented, initiative-taking, and experienced, Mid-Level Interior Designer. Founded in 1982, we are a mid-sized firm located in Boston’s North End, focused on the Life Sciences and Technology communities. Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Architecture or Interior Design degree.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience.
  • Solid knowledge of AutoCAD/Revit.
  • Exceptional graphic and rendering skills, preferably with Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Demonstrated high-quality design skills, passion for design excellence.
  • Ability to interpret a client’s program and develop space plans.
  • Proficiency with furniture layout concepts.
  • Selection and specification of interior finishes and furniture, and knowledge of material application and detailing.
  • Experience interfacing with clients, consultants, and contractors.
  • Ability to self-motivate and work independently, thrive in a fast-paced environment, and work on multiple projects and deadlines.
  • Excellent graphic and written communication skills.
  • Strong verbal communication skills with the ability to present ideas in a clear and thoughtful manner.
  • Excels in a team environment.

 

Responsibilities :

  • Reporting to Director of Interior Design, Interfacing with Firm Partners and Principal.
  • Develop space plans & interior design concepts.
  • Create and deliver client presentations, prepare renderings and presentation materials.
  • Research, source, and specify interior materials, hardware, lighting, appliances, and plumbing fixtures.
  • Contribute to the preparation of construction documents and project deliverables.
  • Provide clear communication and collaboration with project team members to meet deadlines and project completion.
  • Construction administration, including site visits, RFIs, control samples, shop drawings, and punch lists.
