ABOUT THE POSITION/RESPONSIBILITIES
We are currently seeking a talented Project Engineer to be based out of both our Mamaroneck and Manhattan showrooms. The Project Engineer plays a critical role in ensuring successful designs of high-end residential kitchen projects for Bilotta Kitchen & Home. They are the backbone of support to ensure the vision of each designer is drafted and ordered accurately having expert knowledge of each manufacturer the company represents.
- Drafting designs using AutoCAD, computer aided design software, including details to aid in the cabinet installation by contracted Bilotta installers.
- Producing shop drawings and special quotes for custom millwork.
- Laying out details for appliances showing all necessary dimension clearances, section details and door swing or pull-out info on all plans.
- Providing accurate cabinet pricing, using manufacturing pricing programs.
- Completing final order writing/processing through acknowledgement phase for job production.
- Field measuring including observing site conditions, delivery access, HVAC, plumbing and electrical.
- Ordering parts and samples.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum 5-10 years experience of drafting using AutoCAD.
- Experience with construction/building.
- Experience in kitchen and bath design and/or custom cabinetry/millwork.
- Knowledge of 3D rendering programs such as Auto Kitchen or Sketchup is a plus.
SKILLS
- Good communication skills both verbal and written as much interaction will be needed with various designers, engineers from cabinetry manufacturers we represent, and contracted kitchen installers.
- Critical thinking and complex problem solving.
- Time management, ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
