Job Title: Controls EngineerJob DescriptionWe are seeking an experienced Controls Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will work on projects that include creating new products with Servo motors and safety proc sensors. This role involves PLC programming, modifying, troubleshooting, and repairing PLC codes, primarily for Allen-Bradley and Siemens systems. Additionally, the position requires electrical design work including schematic and design updates, revisions, and new design work for industrial applications. The Controls Engineer will occasionally assist in streamlining production processes.ResponsibilitiesPerform hands-on troubleshooting of PLCs and equipment in the shop, addressing electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues.Collaborate with engineering, sales, and procurement departments to ensure controls projects are completed on time and within budget.Assist in building complex automated systems for customers.Monitor system effectiveness and provide troubleshooting support for new machine builds.Repair machinery on site as needed.Essential SkillsProficiency in Allen-Bradley and Siemens PLC programming.Strong experience in controls engineering and electrical design.Experience in automation, troubleshooting, and control systems.8-10+ years of hands-on electrical and mechanical troubleshooting.8-10+ years of experience wiring PLCs from scratch, particularly with Allen-Bradley (required) and Siemens (preferred).Bachelor's or Associate's degree in an engineering-related discipline.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience with custom projects and project management.Work EnvironmentThe work environment is within an industrial park, shared with Hawk Technology, and is fairly clean and quiet.
