As a Product Engineer at Pump, you will be a key member of our team, responsible for driving the development and evolution of our product. Working closely with our product managers and cross-functional teams, you will play a critical role in shaping the user experience and functionality of our platform. Responsibilities:

  1. Understand user needs and translate them into product requirements and features.
  2. Design, develop, and maintain scalable and high-quality software solutions that meet customer needs. Implement and test new product features, ensuring they are intuitive, reliable, and performant.
  3. Conduct thorough product analysis, including user research, feedback analysis, and data-driven insights to inform product improvements.
  4. Collaborate with UX/UI designers to create intuitive and visually appealing user interfaces.
  5. Work closely with backend and frontend engineers to integrate product features seamlessly.
  6. Participate in code reviews, provide constructive feedback, and maintain code quality standards.

Qualifications:

  1. 3+ years of experience as a product engineer, building scalable and reliable web applications, preferably in a pre-Series B startup.
  2. Strong proficiency in at least one modern frontend framework; experience with React and Next.js is preferred.
  3. Familiarity with agile development methodologies and practices.
  4. Solid understanding of software engineering principles, design patterns, and best practices.
  5. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  6. Strong communication and collaboration abilities to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
  7. Passion for creating exceptional user experiences and driving product innovation.
  8. Experience with cloud platforms and APIs is a plus.
  9. Knowledge of data analysis and visualization tools is a plus.
  10. Ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities and thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
