New Relic's Lead Enterprise Systems Engineer will own our Anaplan and Xactly application environments and have overall responsibility for the system architecture and design. The successful candidate will be a key driver of systems and process improvements to meet immediate needs and ensure the platforms can scale for future company growth.
The successful candidate will work very closely with the Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A), Commissions, and Revenue Operations teams to enhance and optimize the existing Anaplan and Xactly platforms. This role will own data design and architectural structure that supports our financial planning, sales commission calculations, and so much more!
Opportunity to work from a remote office may be available depending on the applicant's location.
What you'll do
- Identify actionable, value-added optimization, efficiency opportunities, and contribute to the continuous improvement of our Anaplan models and processes.
- Evolve Anaplan models to support the FP&A team, promoting Anaplan model governance principles and applying a best-in-class design and approach to Anaplan model building.
- Automate Xactly processes with validation rules and SQL.
- Build and maintain complex commissioning rules.
- Support end-users in real-time with issues relating to Anaplan & Xactly and other supported applications.
- Talk to end-users and operations leaders to understand requirements, challenge assumptions when appropriate, and translating those requirements into technical specifications.
This role requires
- Anaplan Level 3 Model Building Certification
- Advanced Anaplan model building experience
- Xactly administrator experience
- 5-8 years supporting finance applications
- Strong understanding of SQL, data structures, data modeling, & database schema
- Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate technical issues and resolve problems at all levels of the organization
Bonus points if you have
- Experience with other SaaS financial applications such as Netsuite, Snowflake, or Coupa

Compensation and Benefits
Estimated Base Pay Range: $141,000 - $176,000
The pay range above represents a reasonable estimate of the salary for the listed position. This role is eligible for a corporate bonus plan. Pay within this range varies by work location and may also depend on job-related factors such as an applicant's skills, qualifications, and experience.
