Mechanical Technician

Job Summary:

3rd shift Mechanical Technician is needed for a leading industrial manufacturing company. This role is responsible for the installation, repair, and maintenance of mechanical equipment. This is a direct hire opportunity. Must be comfortable working night shift and occasional weekend work.

Required Qualifications:

• Must have industrial mechanical troubleshooting experience
• Knowledge and hands on experience in hydraulics, pneumatics, pipe fitting, pumps, etc.
• Ability to work from drawings and sketches

Preferred:

• Associate degree in Electro-Mechanical Technology

Location: Buffalo Grove, Illinois

Job type: Permanent

Salary: $65,000 - 69,000 per year

Work hours: 9pm to 7am

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for the installation, repair, and maintenance of mechanical equipment
• Diagnose and repair problems and perform preventative maintenance inspections
• Diagnose, analyze, troubleshoot, remove, replace, repair, and perform mechanical and electrical preventive maintenance
• Recognizing and performing machine adjustments to the various manufacturing machine systems
• Perform mechanical repairs on industrial drive trains
• Test equipment to confirm machines will meet production and quality standards
