Sr. Reliability Engineer

Job Duties:

1. Review the reliability qualification testing results and determine whether the CMOS Image Sensor products are qualified for mass production. Work with various technical groups and participate in the process of new product introduction.
2. Drive failure analysis to support root cause analysis. Analyze the failure mode of products failed in reliability testing due to accelerated thermal, electrical and mechanical stress. Take corrective action to solve the failure issue and improve the quality and reliability of the CMOS Image Sensor products.
3. Work with R&D, design, process, package, and product engineers to qualify new process technologies, and provide design recommendations for advanced CMOS Image Sensor processes to meet customers’ reliability requirements in electrical perspectives.
4. Collaborate with foundries to assess, characterize, and improve CMOS Image Sensor processes.
5. Perform statistical data analysis to predict product life using Minitab and Python. Analyze the statistical analysis results and process capability, and provide risk assessments for new process and designs.
6. Prepare concise and detailed reliability test plans and reports with an emphasis on prioritizing tasks to meet challenging deadlines.
7. Present project progress and results, and take corrective actions to solve product reliability issues.

Requirements:

Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related fields plus two (2) years of experience as a reliability engineer.

Required experience shall include:

1. Design experiments to predict the quality and reliability of new optical emission products.
2. Optical product characterization on optical table by using broad area detector/thermal image sensor/wavelength meter.
3. Experience in using laboratory equipment and instrumentation, such as Burn-in/HTOL chamber, integrating sphere for measuring optical characteristics.
4. Programming and data analysis skills for statistical analysis on Reliability, programmed on Visual Basic and Python to automate data analysis on Excel.
5. Failure analysis, identification of root cause of reliability failures using SEM/OBIRCH/FIB of product structure.
6. Take corrective action to improve the reliability/quality of products.

Salary: Annual base salary for this role in California, US is expected to be between $151,091 - $155,000. Actual pay will be determined on a number of factors such as relevant skills and experience, and the pay of employees in similar roles.
