Our Construction Management team has a need for a Design Engineer to join their team. In this role you will be responsible for performing routine aspects of civil engineering assignments to include preparation of engineering calculations, engineering reports, construction documents and subsequently providing familiarity with programs, staff, and operating procedures of the Company.
What you will do:
- Perform civil engineering design calculations; develop construction plans utilizing MicroStation or AutoCAD software; and prepare construction specifications and other technical reports for transportation, public infrastructure, and utility projects.
- Work within a team to produce engineering calculations for development of documents that achieve our client's goals and objectives while meeting schedule commitments and budget requirements.
- Infrastructure projects including the design of large and small diameter waterlines and sanitary sewers, sewage treatment plants, stormwater management modeling and design, and roadway design and modeling.
- Represent the Company in professional, civic, and political organizations and activities.
- Represent the Company in client meetings when required.

What you bring:
- An undergraduate or master's degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited university.
- Texas EIT Certification or ability to obtain within 6 months.
- One (1) to five (5) years of related experience.
- Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage time and prioritize projects.
- Ability to learn local and state design standards and procedures.
- Critical thinking skills.
- Complex data interpretation skills.
- Adapt to new concepts while working under pressure.
- Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D required.
- Previous use of GIS software desired.
- Experience with Microsoft Office suite including Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
