Software Development Engineer in Test

Copart is looking for a Software Development Engineer in Test.

Responsibilities:

1. Developing innovative approaches, techniques, and solutions in the areas of Automation, Performance Engineering, Continuous Testing, Continuous Delivery, Service Virtualization, Shift Left, TDD, etc.
2. Analyzing how systems are being tested manually and identifying opportunities to reduce that time and effort through Automation.
3. Designing and creating robust automated test scripts to address business and technical use cases.
4. Maintaining, supporting and extending our existing in-house automation framework and automation suite.
5. Collaborating with Software Engineering Leaders, Project Managers, Product Managers, and others to ensure smooth integration of Quality Engineering solutions into the SDLC (Agile).
6. Diagnose, debug and perform root-cause analysis of issues and defects.
7. Actively participate in test planning discussions to assure automation coverage is continuously improving.
8. Responsible for creating and maintaining various testing platforms.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's Degree or higher in Computer Science or related field preferred.
2. Passion for software development, testing, and problem-solving.
3. 0-2+ years' experience in QA role with automation responsibilities.
4. 0-2 years prior Mobile Testing work experience is a plus.
5. Good to have experience using tools, frameworks, and languages like Ruby, Javascript, Jmeter, Jenkins, GIT, REST Assured, etc.
6. 0-2+ years' experience working with MS SQL and/or Maria databases and tools.
7. Working knowledge and experience using Agile with Scrum methodology.
8. Excellent communication skills. Ability to explain complex technical issues to both technical and non-technical audiences.
9. Team player as well as self-starter who needs little supervision. Able to use independent judgment to plan, prioritize, and organize a diversified workload.
10. Comfortable working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
