Position Overview
We are looking for a Landscape Architect who thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and is passionate about sustainable design. This position offers a unique opportunity to work on all phases of the design process, with a primary focus on construction management. You will collaborate with internal team members, consultants, and contractors to develop and execute innovative design solutions that transform urban landscapes and create exceptional built environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Contribute to all phases of the design process, from conceptual design through construction documentation and administration.
- Manage the construction phase, ensuring that design intent is realized, project milestones are met, and the highest standards of quality are maintained.
- Collaborate closely with internal teams, consultants, contractors, and stakeholders to develop and execute innovative design solutions.
- Provide technical expertise in the design of parks, urban plazas, streetscapes, mixed-use developments, and sustainable landscapes.
- Conduct site visits to oversee construction progress and ensure quality control.
- Write specifications, prepare bid documents, and project manuals for construction phase services.
- Stay informed on industry trends, sustainable practices, and innovations to integrate into projects.
Technical Skills + Knowledge
- Proficient in design software: AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, SketchUp, Lumion/D5.
- Familiar with project management software: Autodesk Build, Microsoft Project, Procore.
- Strong knowledge of construction phase services, including specification writing, bid document preparation, creating project manuals, and bid process.
- Experience with construction documentation, technical detailing, and overseeing the construction process.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Landscape Architecture.
- 3-5 years of professional experience in landscape architecture or related fields.
- Proven experience in construction management and overseeing complex projects.
- Licensed Landscape Architect preferred, or working toward licensure.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
- Passionate about sustainability, urban design, and creating people-centric environments.
