Description: The Integrated Fighter Group is looking for team members that would thrive in an exciting environment whose charter is to provide state-of-the-art capabilities to the F-16 Warfighter. The F-16 aircraft is on the front line supporting key United States Air Force initiatives around the world, and the measure of results for this work is in increased survivability for the men and women who put their lives on the line for all of us.
You will participate in all phases of the System Software lifecycle from supporting initial System Design concepts, software requirements development, design, implementation, integration, and test. There will be opportunities to support software products being integrated in System Labs as well as supporting problem resolution identified during flight tests.
You will gain experience in high-level application software development for avionics subsystems. This will include areas such as datalink, stores management, weapon integration, mission computers, pilot vehicle interfaces, etc.
You must have software development experience with one or more of the following: C, C++, or Ada. Experience with modern software development tools is a plus.
You must be capable of supporting design and creating software solutions based on limited information on rapidly evolving projects. You must be able to clearly communicate and share design decisions with the team. This role requires a highly motivated, organized engineer with the desire to take on engaging assignments.
You must be capable of supporting Sensitive Compartmented Information Facility projects and be willing to work in a classified area full-time for this assignment. Previous experience with this type of assignment is desired.
Basic Qualifications:
- Embedded software experience, such as Embedded Real-Time Operating System (RTOS)
- Object-Oriented (OO) Design experience
- C/C++ language programming experience
- Experience working with Linux Operating System
- Bachelor's degree or above from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education
Must be a US citizen. This position requires a Secret clearance to be considered.

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five-day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
