Position: CNC Swiss Screw Machine Programmer/Setup (Foreman)
Role Overview: The CNC Swiss Screw Machine Programmer/Setup is responsible for programming and setting up Swiss Citizen and Tsugami Swiss machines to produce metal components with precise tolerances in a fast-paced job shop environment. This role involves daily setups and requires ensuring production setup and runtime targets are met.
Key Responsibilities:
- Program and set up Swiss Citizen/Tsugami lathes independently, meeting required setup and run times.
- Install tooling, change tools, and edit programs to enhance operational efficiency.
- Select appropriate cutting tools, machine fixture clamps, and soft jaws for each job.
- Use precision measuring tools and equipment for setup and quality assurance.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, prints, and sketches.
- Inspect and ensure the quality of personal work.
- Train operators in equipment handling as needed.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of CNC Swiss screw machine experience, with strong setup and programming skills.
- Proficiency in unsupervised setup and operation of Swiss Citizen/Tsugami machines.
- Experience with Citizen Swiss machines is a plus.
- Strong problem-solving and time-management skills.
- Ability to work effectively with minimal supervision and adapt to frequent changeovers.
- Team-oriented mindset with a willingness to learn and grow.
