DescriptionThe PositionThis position is a member of the Engineering Department. The Layout Drafter/Mechanical Drafter will report directly to the Mechanical Engineering Team Leader.Job DescriptionPrimary ResponsibilitiesProduce finished AutoCAD and/or SolidWorks drawings. Including, but not limited to, general arrangements, sketches, mark-up’s, preliminary layouts and proposal drawings.Work with mechanical engineers to perform all drawing requests.Drawings to be of quality work, conforming to Bartell standards.Update marked up drawings or legacy prints (RPG requests) as required.Provide accurate data entry of information between D365 and point(s) of origin.Ensure BOM accuracy per print.Create Bartell part numbers as required.Create item masters for all new purchased components.Ensure standardization and quality of inputs.Job RequirementsEducationHigh School DiplomaSkills & Relevant Work ExperienceAutoCAD and SolidWorks training from two-year program, technical school, or relevant certificationsBasic understanding of drafting standards and GD&TWorking knowledge of D365Experience creating 2D and 3D CAD contentMust have excellent communication skillsExtremely meticulous and detail orientedMicrosoft Word and Excel proficientProficient math skills: Algebra, Geometry, TrigonometryTravel Requirements: 0%EOE M/F/D/VQualificationsSkillsRequired3-D CAD: IntermediateMicrosoft Office: Intermediate2-D Drafting: IntermediateBehaviorsRequiredDetail Oriented: Capable of carrying out a given task with all details necessary to get the task done wellDedicated: Devoted to a task or purpose with loyalty or integrityEducationPreferredTechnical Training or better in EngineeringAssociate Degree or better in EngineeringExperiencePreferred2 years: AutoCAD and Solidworks training
