Qualifications:

• Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering
• 2+ years of relevant experience (land development)
• EIT (Engineering in Training) Certification
• Proficient in AutoCAD Civil 3D

Plusses:

• Knowledge of StormCAD, WaterCAD, SewerCAD

Day to Day:

Insight Global is looking for a Civil Engineer in the Shelby, Michigan area. The Engineer will have the opportunity to specialize in several different areas in land development including; residential, commercial, and industrial projects. Other key responsibilities include:

• Design with Precision: Draft both preliminary and final site plans using AutoCAD Civil 3D, ensuring accuracy and compliance with industry standards.
• Data Analysis: Assess site conditions by analyzing project survey data, including legal descriptions, ALTA surveys, easement documents, and condominium documentation.
• Report Preparation: Develop essential reports, provide expert opinions, and make recommendations for project direction, including hydrology and hydraulic studies and cost estimations.
• Project Support: Facilitate smooth project execution with construction-related services, such as permit applications and quantity estimates.
• Software Proficiency: Utilize AutoCAD Civil 3D and related engineering software to maintain excellence in project delivery.
• Mentorship and Integration: Benefit from structured mentorship programs and an assigned ambassador to ensure a smooth transition into our team and company culture.
