Overview

Provides application technical support for the development, enhancement, customization and maintenance of ERP Administrative Systems at Clarkson University. This is a remote position.

Your primary residence must be in one of the following states to work remotely:

Arizona, California, Colorado, Connecticut, Florida, Indiana, Missouri, Virginia, New York, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, Texas, Vermont, and Wisconsin.

Responsibilities

* Provides coding, testing, debugging and documenting of system modifications.
* Troubleshoots and provides problem resolution for program errors.
* Troubleshoots and provides problem resolution for data errors.
* Supports interfaces between systems and other internal/external systems.
* Documents or reviews documentation written by others that describes processing procedures.
* Provides technical assistance by responding to inquiries from others regarding errors, problems, or questions about programs.
* Monitors performance of programs after implementation.
* Works on small development projects (less than 8 hours) from start to finish with little assistance if any.
* Documents and requests move to production of technical projects and coordinates migration with the Director.
* Fills role as the technical lead for large development projects, working with other program analysts to coordinate development, testing, debugging, and documentation.
* Oversees the implementation of vendor delivered patches, bundles, and fixes, to test systems for the purpose of testing and validation.
* Assists users with implementing functional setup to administrative systems.
* Consults with end users to provide support and suggests solutions for business processes.

Qualifications

Education:
Minimal Education: Associate's degree in an IT related field
Preferred Education: Bachelor degree in an IT related field

Experience:
Minimal Experience: Three (3) years experience in one of the following systems in version 9.2 or higher: PeopleSoft Financials Supply Chain Management; PeopleSoft HRMS; or PeopleSoft Campus Solutions
Preferred Experience: Five (5) years of technical experience in one of the following systems in version 9.2 or higher: PeopleSoft Financials Supply Chain Management; PeopleSoft HRMS; or PeopleSoft Campus Solutions. Must possess skills and knowledge critical to business processes of the University. Demonstrated success as the technical lead with large development projects. Ability to provide accurate estimates of development time on large projects. Knowledge and technical proficiency in SQL scripting. Strong proficiency in PeopleSoft Application Designer, PeopleSoft Fluid development, PeopleCode, Application Engine, SQR, XML Publisher. Strong analytical and problem solving skills. Ability to provide staff support for business and technical projects, assignments and analysis. Ability to create technical documentation and flowcharts. Ability to work independently on a day-to-day basis. Strong customer service skills. Ability to interface with internal information technology programmer/analyst, business analysts, client users and external vendors. Excellent organization, analytical, interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills. Must possess a willingness to learn and develop skills. Must possess the ability to work in teams and direct supervision. Must be comfortable operating in a collaborative, shared leadership environment.

Essential Skills

Work activities require competency in SQR, SQL scripting, PeopleSoft Fluid development, PeopleSoft XML Publisher, PeopleSoft Application Engine, PeopleSoft Application Designer, PeopleCode programming language, and analytical and problem-solving skills to diagnose and address technical issues.
