Mid-Sr level Java Engineer, SpringBoot, API, Kafka, AWS

Our client in the Tax automation services industry is urgently hiring multiple Mid-Sr. level Full-stack Java engineers with strong API/Services, React/TypeScript, and MySQL.

This position is a HYBRID onsite position, and you MUST be able/willing to go onsite 2-3 days a week in the San Diego office.

Responsibilities

1. Work closely with product and development teams to create an amazing user experience.
2. Design and develop software applications.
3. Perform coding, debugging, testing, and troubleshooting throughout the application development process.
4. Build integration and unit tests along with code.
5. Work in an agile development environment with short sprints and standups.
6. Implement proof of concept, prototypes, and production-grade software.
7. Maintain and support existing software and hardware systems, infrastructure, and production.
8. Assist team members in troubleshooting software issues and implementing bug fixes.
9. Take ownership of the code base.
10. Work to continually improve code quality, and get bugs fixed and deployed rapidly.

Must Have Skills

• 5+ years of experience.
• Strong experience with Backend Java.
• Full stack development using JavaScript, TypeScript / React.
• At least 4+ years' experience with web services (consuming or creating) with REST or SOAP.
• Experience with API development and integration with 3rd-party services.
• Good understanding and experience building applications using Object Oriented and JEE design patterns.
• Hands-on experience developing applications/services using Spring Boot and Spring Framework.
• Strong understanding of system capacity, system performance, and system security.
• Experience with CI/CD pipeline, automated unit and regression testing, and performance testing.
• Strong understanding of the Software design/architecture process.
• Experience with the entire Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
• Strong experience with Object-Oriented design and programming.
• Strong knowledge of software development methodologies and best practices.
• Experience with the development challenges inherent with highly scalable and highly available web applications and backend systems.
